Tour Highlights: Witness grizzly bears of all ages interacting, feeding, and sleeping, from sunrise to sunset.

There are few places on Earth where humans can quietly step into the world of wild grizzly bears—and fewer still where the bears allow us to stay. In the remote coastal wilderness of Katmai National Park, grizzly bears reign supreme, moving through their days with confidence, curiosity, and remarkable calm. This journey offers an extraordinary opportunity to observe and photograph them as they forage, rest, and interact in sedge meadows, along beaches, and tidal flats that have been shaped by ancient glaciers and powerful seas. Our days are unhurried and immersive, guided by the rhythms of the bears and the ever-changing Alaskan light. From the moment we trek out each morning until the last glow of evening fades, photography opportunities unfold naturally—with intimate moments, dynamic behavior, and powerful storytelling scenes that simply aren’t possible on rushed day trips. With no crowds, we slow down, pay attention, and allow the wilderness to reveal itself.Katmai’s grizzlies—among the largest coastal bears in the world—are remarkably tolerant of our quiet presence, offering rare, respectful proximity that allows for both compelling imagery and a profound connection. The stillness, the scale of the landscape, and the privilege of sharing space with these magnificent animals create an experience that goes far beyond photography. This is time spent inside bear country—raw, humbling, and unforgettable—where the line between observer and environment gently fades away.

Experience Yellowstone at its most raw and awe-inspiring during this carefully crafted winter wildlife photography adventure. Designed to balance deep-park access with legendary wildlife viewing, this trip combines three days aboard a privately chartered snow coach. Unlike the bustling crowds of Yellowstone’s peak seasons, winter welcomes only a small fraction of the park’s annual visitors. In this quiet season, Yellowstone transforms into a world of serene solitude and icy grandeur. With the park’s interior closed to regular traffic and accessible only by snow coach, vast stretches of wilderness feel untouched and almost entirely our own—offering a rare and deeply immersive winter experience found nowhere else.

For three unforgettable days, we venture into Yellowstone’s snowbound interior in our private snow coach—one of the most magical ways to experience the park in winter. These powerful vehicles allow us to travel deep into geyser basins, open valleys, and thermal landscapes cloaked in snow. Along the way, we’ll photograph iconic winter scenes: bison carving paths through drifts, elk against frozen rivers, steam rising from geothermal features, and expansive winter vistas rarely accessible at any other time of year.

In the second half of our experience, we shift to Yellowstone’s Northern Range, where wildlife concentrations are at their peak. Traveling in a comfortable passenger van with an experienced guide, we’ll spend two full days in and around the Lamar Valley—widely considered the wildlife heart of the park.

Our small group size allows for flexibility, patience, and personalized photographic coaching, including the essential elements for winter wildlife photography. Expect unhurried shooting time, thoughtful field positioning, and guidance focused on composition, behavior, storytelling, and adapting to winter conditions.

This combination of Yellowstone’s remote interior and the wildlife-rich Lamar Valley delivers a comprehensive and deeply immersive winter experience. Whether you’re capturing your first winter images of Yellowstone or returning to see the park in its most serene season, this journey offers rare access, remarkable wildlife encounters, and unforgettable photographic moments. We welcome photographers of all experience levels.
