During the Silver Salmon run in Alaska, the bears are either fishing/eating, playing or sleeping, from sunrise to sunset. I don't know what I enjoy more- the action, battles, and intrigue of their fishing, or the challenge of getting a good shot of sleeping bears. Crimp (the big Momma with a torn ear) and her two little nuggets were my favorites. I spent hours watching them sleep and enjoyed every moment.
